I heard you were bringing in 3 Llamas this year.
I know that no-one was supposed to say anything. But someone spilled the beans, so i just gotta know... |

Looking at all the pictures with folks wandering around carrying guitar cases I find my self thinking of Linus van Pelt. Is there a particular reason poeple bring instruments with them? If you're flying in, I would be a little concerned checking my guitar (esp. if your connecting through Philly on US Air  ) |

Location: Fort Worth, Texas | There was an old thread from last year's trip about concerns of taking a guitar on the flights. I flew from DFW and had no problems at all taking my guitar on. So long as it fits in the overhead.
We all carried them with us Friday morning as we went straight from the tour to the dinner/jam...

By the way I checked my guitar flying in from Raliegh, They let me carry it on Comming back.
I had no problems either way. |

Location: Converse, Texas | There's a side benefit to taking your guitar with you. You can play it at the airport in Hartford while you are waiting for your flight, and people will drop money into your guitar case!
Except if you are Paul Moody, then they will take money out! :D |

The hotel staff really enjoyed the music in their lobby and it's a nice place to jam. They even helped serve our BYOB and snacks just so they could hang out.
They didn't even mind the Llama |

But if you make it to the June get together, Teh hotel staff will probably tell you anyway. |

The hotel doesn't have a bar.
Last year I brought a huge Coleman stainless steel cooler for all to use. Will do it again this year. Those that wanted to "partake" kicked in and we did a "Beer(and whatever)Run". It worked out really well. . . .
(And of those that have experience with "hotel bars" can attest, we saved ourselves a SHITload of money).
As Miles said, the hotel staff seemed to enjoy having us there. We were sort of the "In-House Entertainment" . . .
Being that we've moved from March to June, we've got a whole 'nother "dynamic" thrown in . . . . POOL! |

It's a fun primer for the new folks, and a nice trip down memory lane for the rest. |

I made my reservations yesterday and got the same feeling! The guy on the phone seemed to be looking forward to it almost as much as I am. Either you guys made a REALLY good impression last year, or not a whole lot goes on at this place. ;)
By the way, why did they ask if I wanted a llama or non-llama room???? |
