If you give it the Ray Charles test there's not alot of difference, very slight since the braces are matched by weight on the 1 and not the 2. Other than that it's the peghead, bridge and neck material. Some of the early Ad1 had cloth bowls and the Ad2 always had the smc bowl but later they all had the same.

Guiguite,
You have an awesome group of guitars. I have a 1681 abd have played several Adamas I's and the sounds are very very close.

You might be better served by grabbing one of the new '05 collectors. Absolutely great guitar with a sound that is different from the current line up you have.

Thanks, cwk2 and Stephen, for yours infos very interesting. And if you tell me, Stephen, that collector's 2005 sound very different, perhaps I'm going to look better what OFC members think about it.....

Well, I have posted my comments as well as Tony Calman (under the 2005 Collectors thread).

Hizzoner is getting his in today so expect some more comments and Dave (StandingOvation) will be getting his in on Wednesday.

Should give you a pretty good picture between the 4 of us, plus comments already posted by other members under the NAMM thresd.
